Ruth Olga Sherman Teaches Modern Dance Virtually

On Thursday, September 10, Ruth Sherman visited Dance Performance to teach a virtual modern class.

This is what students had to say about her modern class:

“Ruth had us exploring different movements of the body through flow, contraction, and release. She gave us unique prompts to create our choreography by examining and interacting with the world around us.”

- Abby Keenley ‘22

“The most important thing that I learned from Ruth’s class was the need to be grounded yet at the same time use the ground to spark movement.”

- Charlotte Ferguson ‘21
