"The Blazer" Takes Honors
The Blazer, Branson's student newspaper, was recently recognized by the Journalism Education Association of Northern California for the quality of its work.
Sophomore Shun Graves received Honorable Mention in General Feature Story for his behind-the-scenes looks at Branson Kitchen, and freshman Cooper Tenney got the Honorable Mention in News Story for his fascinating look into Branson's plans to expand solar power.
"During this especially challenging school year, it’s incredible to see the passion, time and commitment your students and their adviser have put into telling the stories of the student body and documenting history with compelling design, writing and photography," said JEANC president Rod Satterthwaite.
Major kudos to all the student journalists, as well as the Blazer's faculty advisor, History Teacher Julie Kuo.
