Bulls Lose Tough Game to Rival Marin Catholic

The Branson Bulls experienced a tough loss to a Marin Catholic pitcher who pitched a complete game shut-out on April 27.

The Bulls had three hits against MC's strong pitching. Sophomore Luke Shane had a multi-hit game, and has been showing energy from the plate as the season progresses. Sophomore Will Ashley, a reliable playmaker in the Bulls line-up, also had a hit.

The Bulls' pitching lineup, starting with junior Brayden Mathews, faced a strong bench of MC hitters. Mathews pitched 3 2/3 innings, striking out three and giving up two earned runs. Freshman Cooper Tenney contributed by pitching a scoreless inning.

A highlight of the game came in the 4th inning, when second baseman Cooper Tenney had a hand in all three outs; he turned a nice double play and caught a ball that migrated to right field.
