A couple of days later, on October 1, the Branson girls tennis team hosted San Marin at home and managed a 6-1 victory. Given this was not expected to be a close match up, coach Chrissie mixed up the line up a bit and introduced some new doubles teams:  on the singles side, Anna Rende, Audrey Gilmor, Mirabel Arlander and Phoebe Yates all won in dominating fashion with only 2 games lost among the four of them.  Sophie Liu/Reese Dahlgren won their doubles match 6-1, 6-1, Tara Sridharan/Isa D’Amario McShane lost their match despite staging a nice comeback in the second set but ultimately succumbing 6-10 in the tie breaker (4-6, 6-4, 0-1), and Katherine Hatfield/Kaitlin Gasner won their match 6-0, 6-2.

On Tuesday October 5, the Branson Bulls hosted the Novato Hornets at home and charged to a 7-0 victory.  Singles players Anna Lardner, Anna Rende, and Mirabel Arlander all made quick work of their matches, dispatching their opponents 6-0, 6-0 while Audrey Gilmor dominated her opponent with a 6-2, 6-0 score.  The only match that provided some excitement and rewarded the few spectators with some hard fought points was the doubles team Sophie Liu/Sofia Bobroff who won their first set 7-5, lost the second set 3-6 but then charged back with a 10-6 win in the third set super tie breaker. The other two doubles teams, Phoebe Yates/Karis Crabill and Emma Casaudoumecq/Tara Sridharan, both won their matches in convincing fashion, 6-0, 6-1 and 6-1, 6-2, respectively.  With this victory, the Branson Bulls’ MCAL record stands at 10-1 going into the last two weeks of the regular season.
