Boys Varsity Soccer Dominates San Marin in 4-1 Victory
The Bulls hosted San Marin at College of Marin on Wednesday, June 2. The Bulls continued their run of good form in dominating San Marin for a 4-1 victory.
The Bulls took a 1-0 lead almost immediately, as Jake McFadden scored in the opening minutes. The Bulls kept up the attack as Connor Thorp sent a free kick just over the bar in the 15th minute and Connor Williams had a good shot saved just a couple of minutes later. San Marin was able to equalize in the 19th minute, jumping on an errant pass to fire into the net. Connor Thorp restored the lead in the 26th minute making it 2-1 with a strong shot. James Daly made it 3-1 just before the half.
The Bulls started the second half with more strong play. Justin Forde made it 4-1 with a PK after Josh Batteer was fouled in the box. Justin Forde appeared to make it 5-1 just a few minutes later but he was ruled to be offsides. The Bulls continued to press forward for the remainder of the game with multiple players getting shots on goal, but in the end the game finished at 4-1.
