Boys JV Soccer Wraps Up Season In Style

The Branson Bulls Boys JV soccer team is wrapping the soccer season up in style. Coaches Ryan and Ossie have done a tremendous job tactically with the guys and the team continues to improve. The results of all of their hard work is showing. They are playing cohesive, aggressive soccer.

On Saturday, February 1, the improved side played away from home at San Marin coming away with a well earned 1-0 victory. The only score of the game came from a beautiful build up of numerous passes starting at the back and culminating with a gorgeous header by Oliver “Tyreek Hill” Lee. The defense then held on despite San Marin controlling the ball and pressing for much of the second half. It was another clean sheet for keeper Beau Weisman.

On Tuesday night, February 4, Branson faced off against a very strong Drake team, on their spacious home pitch. Once again, Branson played tenaciously on defense in the first half denying shots with Will Bollini, Stone Shepard, Tucker Fisher, and Amir Tariverdi playing a high line and drawing several offsides as well as blocking numerous attempts. Drake’s skill and shotmaking ability finally showed, and it was 2-0 at the half. The Branson boys continued to hold their own and never gave up, which has become a hallmark of this team with Drake coming away with a hard fought 4-0 victory.

The last game is this Thursday, February 6 at Novato. Come out to cheer them on for their final game!
