Boys JV Soccer Falls to San Rafael

The Branson Bulls JV soccer team came off the break with a quality showing in a narrow 2-1 loss to San Rafael High School on Saturday, January 4. Perhaps showing a little ‘vacation rust’, the Bulls got scored on within the first 10 minutes of the first half, but then steadied themselves to play some excellent soccer. Coach Ryan again had the team playing as a unit, moving his backs in unison to stymie any opportunities San Rafael could muster.

Branson then scored when Will Bollini rocketed a free kick off the SR keeper, got his own rebound, and chipped it over the keeper. The second half saw San Rafael control play moving the ball around the periphery, and converting another early chance. From there Branson was unable to mount any real threats, and the game ended with a narrow win for the home side.

Next game Tuesday, January 7 3:15 pm at home!
