Boys JV Soccer Drops Hard-Fought Match to Novato

The Boys JV soccer team lost a close fought game Saturday, January 11 to the Novato team. The Bulls continue to improve all aspects of their game. The first half saw the Bull playing solid defense, blocking shots, and the midfield starting to settle the ball and build some quality control. The guys hustled and ended the first half locked up 0-0, with each side having a couple of nice chances.

The second half started the same way, but 7 minutes in, a Novato midfielder served up a quality cross and a cutting player on the opposite side finished very well with a nice one touch volley. After that, the Bulls started to apply more pressure with dangerous passes across the Novato goalmouth but were unable to convert. Novato was awarded a penalty kick late in the second half which sealed the win for Novato despite Branson’s spirited play.

Next game is Wednesday, January 15 at home vs. Redwood!
