Winter Arts Festival & Tree Lighting on Dec. 6

Join us for Branson's annual Winter Arts Festival & Tree Lighting on Friday, December 6 - rain or shine!

We will gather in the upper parking lot for caroling and tree lighting at 5 pm. The tree lighting includes words from Head of School Chris Mazzola and student body presidents, singing by our boys and girls a capella groups, and the lighting of the tree by freshman class presidents Sophie Liu and Weston Starbird.

Following the tree lighting, we will head to the Douglas Fine Arts Center for cookies and cider and the Annual Advanced Student Art Exhibition in New House.

Advanced Acting will follow with a 30-minute performance of the holiday classic, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas.

Join us in Maxwell Music Hall to cap off the evening. The Music & Performance class will be performing a selection from the animated film The Snowman. Intermediate Ensemble will play pieces from the Nutcracker Suite by Tchaikovsky. Finally, the classes together will explore improvisations based on Afro-Peruvian and Indonesian rhythms and tonalities.

The event concludes at 7:30 pm. Admission is free.
