The Lady Bulls braved blistering courtside temperatures in a spirited tennis match against Head Royce last Friday afternoon at College of Marin. Shrugging off the opposing teams’ impressive set of precision warm-up drills, the Branson girls took to their matches with increased confidence and great spirit. The afternoon started with doubles play featuring Charlotte Houser/Ali Evans, Libby Hansen/Mallory Fischer, Anina Yang/Zoe Hahn, Taylor Howard/Ashley Yang, Mallory Fischer/Charlotte Houser, and Yasmin Charkin/Anna Hogue. Fischer and Hansen won in doubles play.  In singles matches, Houser, Yang, Howard and Evans played for Branson, with Howard persevering to win a long, tough match against her Head Royce opponent. Coach Scott Murphy said he was delighted with the Bulls’ play and praised the girls’ positive attitudes and determination.
