Championship Victory for Bulls Mountain Biking
Adam Nuyens

Branson Bulls MTB benefited from solid individual results to make a clean sweep of the season with a win at the NorCal League Championship race, to out-race the Monterey Lightfighters and seal the top title.

Varsity senior Hayley Yoslov (4 laps) shaved nearly 30 seconds off her final lap in the hills of Lake County to finish the race, and her high school racing career, feeling strong. And her 8th place finish after 135 minutes of racing gained valuable team points.

Zachary Redlin was flying among the lead group in JV Boys, and battled in close competition through 3 twisting laps for just over an hour until when the dust settled at the finish, he earned a hard-fought 3rd place.

Carlos Hernandez, too, was among the leaders in JV boys but was forced to stop for precious seconds to reinstall a dropped chain, then hammered back through traffic to finish an impressive 7th.

Chris Schneider also earned team points for ceaselessly cranking his metal steed around the course, making late-race passes to finish 16th in JV Boys.
