It was quite a night for the Girls Varsity Basketball team led by senior captain Jaliyah Wiggins and junior captain Hannah Golan. It was also a stellar debut performance from Coach Trey (aka Marcus Mitchell) who has been working hard to prep the girls for the new season.
The team played excellent defense all night and led by 9 points at the end of the first half. The Bulls came to life in the third quarter thanks to multiple rebounds by Jaliyah Wiggins and Hannah Golan who fed the ball to freshman Rosie Slayen who scored a total of 28 points.

Branson dominated the remainder of the game, scoring 45 points in the second half. Hannah Golan finished with 15 points followed by Jaliyah Wiggins with 13. Junior Georgia Oliver and freshman Avery Myerberg finished with 6 points each. The 70-27 final score was a strong start to what promises to be an exciting season for the Lady Bulls.
