Bulls Buck the Northgate Broncos 8-1 in Battle for the NCS Title
Alexandra Wells

The Bulls kicked off the NCS playoffs tonight, stampeding to an 8-1 victory over the 9th seed Northgate Broncos and advancing to the second round of the NCS playoffs #giddyup!

The Bulls played some of the best lacrosse we’ve seen all season even while continuing to be plagued by illness and injuries. The Bulls’ offense was on fire and dominated most of the game. Nick Pfendler had his best game ever and established himself as the team switch-hitter with mad leftie skills no one knew he had - scoring two goals both with his left hand (plus a last minute borrowed glove! #epic).

Spencer West, in his first game back since a cracked rib, racked up two goals as did our teflon attack Zach Olrich. Callahan Green played his heart out and had a super nice goal as well.

On the defense side, the Bulls welcomed a much-needed new player - the athletic team player Colby Yoslov who deserves every gold star for stepping in during playoffs never having played lacrosse! Colby is hungry to learn and to contribute. Meanwhile, goalie Tucker Wells had a stellar game with a shut-out first half and a clutch stuff-the-crease save in the second half when the Bulls were down two players and the Broncos fired at him from very close range.

It was #cellietime and a Game Ball bonanza in the post-game huddle with so many deserving players and Coach was spreading the love. Cyrus Allen took Game Ball #1 for stepping up as our sole sub at the Redwood game 4/14 with a broken foot (!!) and thereby enabling us to avoid a forfeit and be eligible for playoffs 🏆. BJ Fisher and Zach Olrich took Game Balls #2 and #3 for being our #twingoats 🐐🐐 and new clutch defenseman Colby Yoslov took Game Ball #4.

The Bulls will hit the road for round 2 of playoffs, taking on number one seed Justin Siena on their turf Thursday, 5/5 at 7:30pm. Go, Bulls!
