Our Bull Sharks swam fast under the hot summer-like sun at MCALs last weekend. The two-day meet was at the College of Marin Miwok campus in Novato with preliminaries on Friday and finals on Saturday.  

Proudly swimming for Branson were: Cameron Aryanpour, Ceci Brenner, Kaia Hayes, Elena Higgins, Maddie Jefferson, Nate Johnson, Sadhbh Kilroy, McKenzie Kwei, Maeve McAuley, Kaylyn Malloy, Nyanza Ngongoseke, Genesis Orellana, Willa Riedy, Tara Sridharan, Ashley Perez, and Elisa Rodriguez.

Many Bull Sharks improved their best times at the meet.  Well done to Maddie, Willa, Tara, Elisa and Nate for swimming season-best 100 Free times!  Sadhbh and Kaylyn had their fastest 50 Free times and Nyanza swam his season best 100 Breast! Ceci swam her 6th 500 Free of the season and delivered her fastest time yet!  That's 120 laps of hard work, way to go Ceci!

Branson had 5 swimmers with season DOUBLE BEST times!  Congrats to Cameron (50 and 100 Free), Kaia (50 Free and 100 Breast), Elena (50 and 100 Free), McKenzie (50 and 100 Free) and Maeve (100 Free and 100 Back)!

Cameron placed 2nd in the 50 Free and 3rd in the 100 Free! His times in the 50 Free, 100 Free and 100 Fly earned him automatic qualification for NCS - very exciting!

Also earning consideration for NCS with their strong finishes were:

Maeve: 50 Free, with a 5th place finish! Maeve also finished 11th in the 100 Free!

McKenzie: 50 and 100 Free. McKenzie finished 4th in the 50 Free and 7th in the 100 Free!

Nate: 50 and 100 Free. Nate finished 8th in the 50 Free and 5th in the 100 Free!

Women's 400 Free Relay: Hooray ladies!! They finished 8th and made an NCS consideration time, dropping 28 seconds off their seed time!
