Strength and Conditioning
In addition to stellar coaching for individual teams, Branson student athletes can also learn from Branson’s Strength & Conditioning Coach, Barclay Spring. Barclay has designed a program that enhances athleticism, which is a key to increasing sports performance. His philosophy:
“In general, high school athletes do not focus enough on developing adequate levels of strength. This is a huge mistake, because strength is a foundational attribute for improving athletic performance. Too often, high school athletes focus instead solely on developing speed, power and explosiveness. These are all critical to sports performance, but they can be developed only marginally if an athlete lacks adequate strength.
