Getting to Branson

Branson offers transportation options that allow us to draw and serve students from many different areas. Having students with varied geographic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds adds greater perspective and value to our learning community. Families choose what works best for their needs.

Branson Bus & Van Services

Branson contracts with a bus company and runs its own vans to offer students transportation to and from the East Bay, San Francisco, and select locations in Marin. Each year we review routes, stops, and costs to best serve participants. See our website for routes, schedules, and costs.

East Bay Van – Branson runs a passenger van to and from the East Bay. We pick up students from several stops, including the El Cerrito BART station.

San Francisco Bus – Bus service from San Francisco includes a morning pickup and two afternoon returns and makes several stops throughout the city.

Marin Bus Stops – The San Francisco bus makes two pickups in the morning at various points in Marin and leaves from three different sites.

We encourage students and families to carpool to and from campus to reduce traffic for our neighbors and to model environmental sustainability. Student parking spots on campus are reserved for carpools of three or more members. Each spring, we facilitate the forming of carpools for students.

Shuttle for Off-Campus Parking

Branson provides a shuttle from the St. Anselm’s parking lot (our off-campus parking area), which is located on the corner of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard and Bolinas Avenue, across the street from the Golden Gate Transit bus stop. The shuttle bus runs a continuous loop from the St. Anselm’s parking lot to campus in the mornings.

After school, the shuttle bus runs a continuous loop as needed from campus to the St. Anselm’s parking lot. There is no cost to ride the shuttle bus.

SMART trains provide service from the north to and from the San Rafael Transit station. The school runs a shuttle to/from the San Rafael Transit Station for students and staff. The morning shuttle meets the riders arriving San Rafael at 8:26 am, and afternoon shuttles leave Branson at 3:30 pm and 5:45 pm.

For more on the SMART train, passes, and schedules, see their website.

Marin Transit Youth Pass

Marin Transit Youth Pass: Branson participates in the Marin Transit Youth Pass program, with which Marin County students under 18 are allowed unlimited rides on local transit route in Marin County. Students whose household incomes qualify them as low-income are eligible for free Youth Passes.
