• The Dance Program is designed to give the beginning through advanced level student the opportunity to:

    • Explore the physical, emotional, creative, and technical aspects of dance
    • Develop self-confidence, self-discipline, cultural awareness, artistic integrity, skill, and personal uniqueness

     Studio based learning includes:

    • Evans/Laban modern dance technique
    • Ballet, Jazz, Hip hop and Ethnic dance
    • Improvisation       
    • Composition and Choreography
    • Anatomy and Yoga for dancers
    • Dance history

     Dance Levels 1 through 5, Athletic Dance for Men, and DP Ensemble perform:

    • Twice a year in our winter concert Body Talk and spring arts festival--FAB
    • Student choreography is valued and accepted by audition 

      The Dance Performance Ensemble :

    • Has extra-curricular and off campus performances
    • Develops more advanced choreographic skills
    • Is by audition and a prerequisite of one year in the Branson dance program
    • Provides an opportunity to be inducted into the National Honor Society of Dance Arts through NDEO
