WORDS OF ADVICE:

You will show yourself off to your best advantage if you have read the entire play and if you have fully memorized the monologue.

I will be looking to see if:

* if you are prepared

* that you do not turn your back to the audience

* that you can be heard at the back of the theatre

* that you are as physically relaxed as possible

* that you can take direction

* that you are willing to make a bold choice

It is always better to make a bold choice, even in the wrong direction, than to make no choice at all.  Anyone can read the lines—an actor breathes life into them. You will be giving your audition individually, so you do not need to worry about being evaluated by your peers.

Any questions, feel free to email me at:  maura_vaughn@branson.org
