Six Branson Athletes Advance to USA Volleyball Junior Nationals
Six Branson students -- Kathleen Wallace (’12), Meg Wentzel (’12), Lauren Alper (’12), Gabriela Steiner (’13), Whitney Hansen (’13), and Michelle Pereira (’14) will all be competing in July in the USAV Volleyball Junior Nationals, formerly the Junior Olympics. Over 400,000 athletes annually vie for this coveted opportunity, and only 32 teams at each age level manage to earn a bid, across three different ability-based divisions. Incoming freshman Grace Roberts Burbank ('16) is also included in this honor.
Varsity Volleyball Team Headed to Hawaii in August
As if three state championships were not enough to be proud of, Head Coach Michelle Brazil has accepted an invitation for her Varsity team to compete in the exclusive Ann Kang Invitational Volleyball Tournament in Hawaii this August. Congrats, Michelle, on an excellent 2011 season, and we look forward to seeing the Bulls on the court this fall.
