Every year the yearbook staff publishes a large number of congratulatory messages from parents to their seniors in Nexus, the Branson yearbook. These messages give parents a great opportunity to offer their own special congratulations to their son or daughter, and the funds these messages raise help to defray the considerable cost of producing the color yearbook each year.
There is absolutely no obligation or pressure to purchase message space, but the yearbook staff would love to help you congratulate your child with a personal message and a fun family, childhood or baby photo. Message space is available in quarter-page, half-page, and full-page layouts and all you need to do is send in a photo (or photos, depending on your layout size) and a message, and the yearbook staff will take it from there. Of course, if you wish to give us some guidelines for laying out your message, feel free to include instructions or sketches with your order. Most people just send in their message and photo(s) and let us do the rest.
To reserve a place in the 2013 yearbook, please fill out the form linked above, and send it, along with your photo(s), message and check, all in one envelope, to the address on the form, by Thursday, September 20th, 2012. Please be sure to include the number of photos you are sending to ensure we receive all photos. You may also submitdigital photos via e-mail. Please send them to firstname.lastname@example.org, and they will be matched up with your order form when it comes in. Any ads received between September 20th and September 28th will be charged an additional $95 late fee. Ads submitted after October 1st, 2012 WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Please note that incomplete submissions cannot be processed until all of the accompanying items (check, photo, message) are received. As outlined above, because we must comply with strict submission deadlines set by our publisher, we are unable to accept late submissions. It seems that every year we are forced to turn away several parents who miss the deadline, so please submit your order early to avoid disappointment!
One final note: We have never yet lost a baby picture, but there is always a chance this may happen. If you plan to send in a photo that is absolutely irreplaceable, you might want to make a copy of it and send us the copy instead. We will return all photographs via mail in the spring.
If you have any questions, please send an email to Jason Low for any technical support at email@example.com or new Yearbook Faculty Advisor Gretchen Koles at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you, and have fun going through your old photographs!
— The Nexus Staff
P.S. Only yearbook staff members will see your congratulatory message, but if your child is on the yearbook staff and you would like to make sure that your submission is kept confidential, please write “Confidential” on the outside of your envelope.
